As of June 2018, the Bethany and Concordia parish is in the process of filling a vacancy in one of its pastoral positions. Previously, the churches were served by one pastor. This arrangement worked well for over 20 years. In April of 2016, the parish decided to issue a call that would focus the one pastor’s duties on teaching at the new parochial school, while seeking to add a second pastor. It’s not uncommon at larger Lutheran parishes to have more than one pastor, and it’s found frequently in history that a Lutheran pastor serves in a parish school as part of his pastoral duties. Now, Bethany and Concordia have combined these practices in a dual parish of smaller congregations, relying upon the gracious providence of God to supply the blessings to His Gospel ministry in our midst, in both school and wider parish.
Below are links to brief introductions to our current pastor, but you are encouraged to contact him directly as well. If you’d like to know more about the teaching that defines our churches, you can arrange to attend a class with them.
